St Martin’s Funky Church
This is held in the vestry of St. Martin’s at the same time as the 10.30am morning Mass. The children have fun in there, with all modern equipment, DVD and Power Point facilities.
They then join the rest of the congregation during the Communion Hymn to receive a blessing at the altar. Before the end of the service any work they have done can be shown to the congregation during the announcements before the service concludes.
St Catherine’s Junior Church
Junior Church is the same as in St. Martin’s except that they go out to the Church Hall for lessons based on the readings of the day with games and colouring.
They join the rest of the congregation as in St. Martin’s to take communion or a blessing, and afterwards they tell us what they have done. They finish with a prayer.
St Andrew’s Sunday School
At 11am, as the Sunday Mass begins, St. Andrew's Sunday School meets in a room dedicated for the use of the children. They have stories, a discussion, draw pictures about their topic and write special prayers as appropriate.
During the communion hymn the children join the congregation and all those baptised receive communion. Before the 'Sending Out', the children show and talk about what they have been doing.
