Parish Photo Gallery

This was a new venture for the Parish, and a great success. The photos show the winning trees – first prize to Mount Carmel’s tree called “Tots Tunes Music Group” tree, second prize to St Andrew’s Monday Club tree called “Peace” , and third prize to 1st Caerphilly Guides tree called “Who said that Sweets and Money don’t grow on trees?” . The day was a delight – people coming and going, voting for their choice of tree and sitting chatting while sampling refreshments provided by the ladies of the parish. Definitely to be repeated next year.

Sausage, Mash, Beans and Gravy … Plumb Pie & Custard, never were “tramps” so well fed!! A motley crew got together on Friday 15th May at St. Andrew’s Church to dine and socialise.

A church drive (variation on beetle drive) took place after the meal and was great fun, thanks to Yvonne Jones organisation. The joint winners of the best (worst) dressed “tramps” were the Rector and Laurie Brown but the competition was very “high”.

Everyone had a great time especially Mr. Elwyn Jones who celebrated his birthday with a strawberry cake made by Mrs. Betty Treweeks and there was a piece for everyone. Our thanks go to the St. Andrew’s Monday Club who hosted this fun event and all proceeds will go to Christian Aid.
